A new Journey Begins
By David Fink · Ålesund, Norway · 5 June 2026
After nearly five years at Glamox following the acquisition of Luminell, I am now stepping into a new chapter. I desire to channel that same spirit of innovation into Meenorah — a fresh exploration into the profound potential of Artificial Intelligence. My core question is simple: What happens when you build a company from scratch, with AI not as an afterthought, but as its foundational heartbeat?
That question has been with me for a while. Building Luminell taught me what it means to commit to something you believe in deeply — to stay the course through the hard seasons and to trust that doing the right thing, slowly and carefully, eventually becomes something real. When Glamox acquired Luminell in 2021, it was a moment of completion. And, as it turns out, a moment of beginning.
Meenorah is open
We have established Meenorah AS, and we are now working out of our new office in Ålesund. Seeing a name on a door and a team around a table makes something feel real in a way that ideas alone cannot.
That team is starting to take shape. We are delighted to welcome Lars Ludvigsen as our first software developer. Lars brings deep experience in software architecture and a clear conviction that the best systems are the ones people actually trust. He fits Meenorah precisely — someone who cares not just about what can be built, but about what should be built, and how.
The question that drives us
We are not building AI tools because AI is trending. We are building them because we believe this technology — when developed carefully, ethically, and with genuine respect for the people who use it — has the potential to transform how businesses operate and how people work.
Most companies arrive at AI as an add-on. We want to find out what happens when you start there. When AI is not something bolted onto an existing structure, but the foundation the whole thing is built on.
Our first real-world test of this is Sollees AS — a light and health technology company that we are building to run almost entirely on Meenorah-developed AI solutions from day one. It is an experiment as much as it is a business. And we intend to share what we learn, openly, as we go.
What comes next
There is still much to build. We are in the early stages — honest about that, and energised by it. In the months ahead, we will be developing our first Arvid tools, continuing to grow the team, and learning in real time what it means to build an AI-first company.
